When customers visit Specsavers, it’s our optical assistants who welcome them in to the store, listen to their individual needs and find a solution that’s right for them. Join us in this role and you’ll have a huge part to play in our success. 

Key information

In what is very much a frontline role, an optical assistant can make a real difference to our customers’ experience. You’ll also be perfectly placed to learn about the business and what makes Specsavers tick.

Putting customers first

We don’t always look for technical know-how or experience of optics. What we really want is people who care about the customer journey and getting it right.

Creating a buzz

Our stores are vibrant and busy retail environments, and anyone with a passion for outstanding customer service who enjoys a team environment would fit right in.

Every day is different

No two days are ever the same. One minute you could be helping a customer choose their perfect frames, and the next talking them through our clear price structure or answering a query about hearing services.

Professional qualifications

If you decide you want to develop your knowledge of optics further, we offer sponsored training leading to externally-accredited Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications.
