Optical Assistant goes the extra mile - Kirsty's story

Optical clinical assistant Kirsty Evans from our Guernsey store won her customer services award after rolling up her sleeves to help in store on her day off. Kirsty has scooped a Customer First Award – awarded by Specsavers to recognise and reward team members who go above and beyond to serve customers and exceed their expectations.

A helping hand
On one occasion, she popped into the store on a busy Saturday with her partner who needed to choose some glasses.

'It was a Saturday and I could see it was a really busy day, so I just rolled my sleeves up and got stuck in helping with dispensing and delivering some training and before I knew it a couple of hours had passed.'

Dedication
Store partner Dominic Burchett recommended Kirsty for the award in acknowledgement of her dedication to customer service.

‘Kirsty is a bubbly, vibrant and very positive personality who has a lot of energy and is a fantastic team member - the customers love her and she is a pleasure to work with.'

Overall Excellence Winner

Every December Dame Mary Perkins will select one or more Customer First winners from throughout the year to receive a special prize, to be recognised as the best of the best of the best.
