For some people, finishing school means it’s time to look for a new challenge. If you’ve had enough of classrooms and fancy a bit of extra responsibility, Specsavers could have the opportunity for you.

The Specsavers Apprenticeship scheme provides a great introduction to the world of work and offers a strong alternative to college or university, where you can carry on learning and start earning. Whichever store you end up working in, you’ll find yourself part of a team delivering excellent standards of customer care in a busy and lively environment. If you like to be kept on your toes, this could be the role for you.

Adam Fox, a graduate apprentice from Specsavers Middlesbrough, offers some advice for anyone thinking of embarking on the scheme:

‘I would advise those considering applying for the Apprenticeship to prepare for a challenge. It’s a fast-paced environment with a lot to learn but Specsavers does provide all the support needed and, if you’re willing to dedicate yourself to the programme, it will be a fulfilling and rewarding career option.’

After completing his Apprenticeship and qualifying as an Optical Assistant, Adam is now looking forward to gaining further qualifications with Specsavers and hopes to progress to the position of Dispensing Optician in the future.
