Nottingham opticians up for a hat trick of awards
A Nottingham opticians is celebrating after being shortlisted in three
prestigious Optician Awards categories.
This is the fourth year in the last five that Specsavers on Wheeler Gate in Nottingham has reached the final stages of the competition, cementing its position as a leading provider of optical services in the country. As well as individual nods for team members David Tye and Suzanne Czerwinski in the Leader of the Future and Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year categories respectively, the store itself is a finalist in the Contact Lens Practice of the Year.
‘We’re absolutely delighted by our three nominations,’ says store director, Simon Dunn. ‘The team works so hard to make sure we are continually offering our customers the very best in eyecare and we believe our contact lens service is second to none. To have David and Suzanne recognised individually too is just fantastic. It’s a testament to the emphasis they both place on excelling in their fields; David as learning and development manager and Suzanne in her role as our contact lens specialist. Along with my co-directors Nicole Thacker and Ravi Chawda, we are extremely proud of the team and are very much looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in Birmingham in April.’
No stranger to the awards, Specsavers in Nottingham has triumphed in multiple categories in previous years, including Contact Lens Optician of the Year and Multiple Practice of the Year.
The Optician Awards has been established for over 20 years and is the highlight of the year for optical practices, attracting the UK’s most talented opticians, teams and companies. The gala awards dinner and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 14 April at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.
